The Making of a Writer

I've never imagined that I would become a writer - - something like a writer. I remember not being able to finish my reading assignment because I am so lazy doing homeworks. So here I am, writing. Ironically speaking, I am starting to love reading and writing. I believe in this one thing though: God will give you talents to use in His kingdom. True. Everything works according to His purprose.

It ain't easy being a writer. It has tons of things to do, tons of information to digest, and tons of words to remember, which you cannot see in anywehere in my personality. My writing instructor told me that "The pen is mightier than the sword." This is so true today. Most people would write or post something instead of talking to the person. Truly, it isn't easy to write. I learned three amazing lessons about becoming a writer.

One, It is not easy to write. True. Whatever you will write can go against you. Whatever you write requires intelligence. I couldn't help but sighing at this. I know God has a purpose why I am in this pit of writing. Writing is good, it's just it's not so easy when you write something intellectual.

Two, research is important. You cannot write what you know without knowing it. Of course! As a writer it's always to keep on reading in order for you to mean what you wrote. I love writing things that I can realate to like the adventures broken hearted people or gruesome eating habits or fitness.. first. Everything that I've experience. You cannot write what you don't know really. So if you want to write about something, get to know it first.

Lastly, be knowledgeable in technical stuffs. You cannot write properly without studying the WRITING 101. I've enrolled myself in an intensive writing class which able me to be aware with the things I have to know in writing, such as elements of an article, the do's and the don'ts in writing and so much more. Any techinical stuffs can be tough if you don't have any reason to study it.

Being a writer is one of the most challenging work. It requires full amount of energy, patience and passion to come up with a very beautiful, crisp, and bright ideas. It's not easy to write, doing research is important and being knowledegeable in technical stuffs are just to name few of the many things I've learned in becoming a writer. So, do you want to become one? C'mon! Get in the pool and let's write!
