As I Sleep

I've never really thought about writing something my dreams. Actually I have recurring dreams about waters, oceans, lakes, whatever. It's recurring because every now and then I can get these kind dreams and funny that I can remember everything after waking up. Most people won't remember what exactly happened in dreams. However mine is different whenever I dream about somwthing waters.

Last night was one of the most magical water dreams that I've ever had. The scenery was in a beautiful lake. It was already night. I stood in a place where people are gathered. Not far from where I was standing, a beautiful green mountain and below it the beautiful lake I was describing. The water was quiet or should I say calm. I am not aware about how many people were standing around me, all I know it was noisy. Then there's this huge rock sitting on the lake. It was dark but its surface was smooth. I stood on the rock and something caught my attention that it made do something on that little piece of rock. After pushing at what seemed to be a button, a pavement emerged from the lake. A platform. Then I pushed the small rock and the platform banished. My good guy friend was standing right beside me, however I didn't see him. I was asking him to come with me and go to the other side of the beautiful mountain. The mountain has this long beautiful Chinese-crafted bridge connected to the place I was standing. I didn't see where I can climb and it seemed like a challenge finding the stairs going to the bridge. My friend doesn't want to come with me. So my dream ended in staring at that wonderful bridge and going to a beautiful place I've never been.

I have tons of water dreams in my lifetime. However because it was like ages ago, I couldn't remember most of them. Please don't misunderstand about what I've said. I can perfectly remember my dreams after waking up but I am having some difficulties in saving them up in my brain. :)

Friends Matter

When I was younger I often heard older folks reminding us about carefully choosing our friends. I remember the olden saying "Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are." My cool teacher had a good rendition of that saying she said in one of our Technical Writing classes, "Tell me who your friends are, and I'll say HELLO!"

Whatever culture you may be in right now, nothing beats what the Bible says about friendship. One of the most amazing verses that I have hidden in my heart is Proverbs 17:17. It says "A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity." New American Standard Bible. I like how The Message translate this verse, "Friends love through all kinds of weather, and families stick together in all kinds of trouble. "

Friendship is another world where we can be just ourselves or be the other self that we've been hiding for some reason. But God doesn't design friendship to be a place of pressure or torment. Being friends with others should be like one of the best place you can ever be. Like a family that loves and takes care of each other. Who doesn't want to be loved? We are people and it's normal for us to look for love. To look for a place we think we belong. A place we can really be ourselves. No holds barred. Just being carefree.

A friend is more than a noun. Being a good friend, a friend that God sees in each everyone of us, can help us be the best person that God designs us to be. The dictionary may have the definition of the word friend, but the Bible perfectly identify what kind of friend we should be with our friends. Open the living book called Bible and learn tons of amazing lessons in life that no other self-help books can ever have.

I hope you learn something here! God bless! :)

Uncomfortable

If someone asks you to do something you are not comfortable of doing, things will get a little bit cranky for both ends. And sometimes doing things that you don't want to do will make you feel like you are being forced to do that "something" Whatever you may call it; a chore, picking up someone or simply being asked to do folding of your clothes.

Most Young People today doesn't realize the need of being "The Man". According to my observation, as our world evolves into something I called "The Lazy-age", they too, have become like one. I am not saying that being in a world where technology keeps on evolving is bad. I am pointing out is that Young people keeps on missing the mark; The real reason why they are where they are at the moment.

If you think that there's nothing you can do whether its in your home, with your family, in your community or with your friends - you're totally wrong. God doesn't design us to be this lazy. To be thinking like there's nothing we can do for others and most especially for ourselves.

Think about waking up early in the morning full of goodness in your heart. Like, helping your mother in household chores, lending a hand to your brother or your sister, giving your time to cook for the kids Sunday School, stuffs like that.

I am not going to be a hypocrite and tell these things and yet I am doing otherwise. All us fall short embracing responsibility. I am the most lazy person that you can ever meet in your entire life. (Ask my brother and Sister- they are the living proof of this kind) It's so hard to do things that you really don't do. I fully understand that. However what matters most is that you have that inclination in your heart to change what you see is not right in your life.

Seeing is the first step. Acknowledging will be the second. Acting is the third. If you don't see the need that you are in need inside your home, in your family, in your community, in your circle of friends. You will keep on missing the mark.

I pray that I've challenged you enough to look back and see what has been done and what you are doing at the moment. If you see things differently and wants change. Pause for a moment, ask God for strength and direction and He will surely be there for your aid!

God bless.
