Unconditional Obedience - draft

“Whom shall we send? – Here I am Lord send me”
“God said it, I will do it”

When we obey, isn’t it we ask ourselves first before we follow? We often do the things that are acceptable and easy to do. Things that we choose for ourselves because we think it is enough; rightful enough; Christian enough.

Obeying is one of the hardest characters to develop especially if you are not being raised in a family wherein values are strictly imposed, though there are some individuals who are still in the process of developing this character find it really difficult regardless of their situation in their family or in their life.

In life, there are many things that you have to obey; the government bylaws, your school’s policies, traffic rules, company’s regulations and your parents’ instructions. Whatever you may call it there are things that we are bounded to do. If you fail to comply in any of these there are certain consequences that you have to endure. Living life can be complicated or easy depending on your point of view.

God created every one of us with our own abilities and capabilities to decide on ourselves; for ourselves. Who God is in your life will conclude the course of your life. Tons of people won’t give another second look about who God is and what He can do for their lives. It’ll be hard to determine your purpose in life most especially if where you are going to is blurred out.

A good thought is this: Unconditional Obedience. Obeying God is difficult if you have no idea who to follow to. It’s like trying reading a map – easy? Oh well try to read a map without any idea of how to read one – still easy? You can properly follow if you know who to follow to.

God have laid out several “house rules” and these should be followed. It is expected to be followed. Rules are being made by God for our own benefits; for our own good. God will still be God even without these rules. We, people cannot live in total peace if God haven’t laid out these practical directions.

Rules are not walls for the people who are following God to contain themselves inside. It is not to isolate yourself because God said not to sit in the seats of the mockers. We are still living in the world, in our community, with our friends and relatives who don’t have any idea who truly God is. It is not right to contain yourself inside the rules that you think God have been imposed to for you. God doesn’t design these rules for us to be inside our protective walls. Besides, if you continually do that, you will be contradicting everything you believe in.

In order for a person to completely obey God; the person must know who God is in his life and accept the fact that God isn’t only a God but His Savior as well. How do you know you are following God? Your heart will tell you.

God honors your heart and your decisions. He understands. He completely understands you. In fact, because God loves you so much, He is patient enough to wait for you in trusting Him with your own life. Only then, you will know that your life is in the right path. When you lay your life to God, you wouldn’t ask God where in the world you will be sent to. You wouldn’t be asking yourself if God’s will is comfortable for you or not. You will simply follow because you understand who God is in your life.

God hears your heart. He knows that you want to follow Him. He knows that people needs time to prepare himself, to decide upon himself and to completely lay himself to be a sacrifice to God. Unconditional Obedience.
